Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past as well as classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys opera, tangos and the various forms of dramatic performing. She started singing and studying songs with her mother then began more intense vocal instruction when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she sang with several chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved in many local projects, both as an educator and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to communicate with other people her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to keep the traditional music living.
